Another new story in the works. Wonder Woman, Troia and Wonder Girl have gathered on the Amazon home of Themyscira to mourn the passing of Queen Hippolyta. Before any discussions could be had regarding succession to the throne an enemy appears from the sea. A tribe of lost warriors searching for a home and they have chosen Themyscira and it's inhabitants as their slaves. Diana, Donna and Cassie all wade into a war for the freedom of their home. Can they fend off the Lost Tribe?
“Archers!” Donna called.
The Amazon archers stepped out from their shields and in unison fired their first round. The arrows flew through the air towards the ships. Donna eyed the sizzling blue arrows on the beach and didn’t like them. They pulsed energy and magic unlike anything she had ever seen before. Not in sheer power but she just couldn’t place a time when she had felt anything like it. Unknowns were mounting on the battlefield and she did not like that. She ordered another round of arrows and then had them fire at will. The ships were now only feet from the beach. Donna could see the faces of those ready to jump down to the beach. She also saw many of them fall to the arrows being loosed.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw the blue sizzling arrows began to pulse quicker and then right before the first wave of warriors jumped from the ships each arrow seemed to dive deeper into the sand. As if they had been fired again. But when the arrow was gone a blue light radiated out from each arrow towards the amazons. Racing along the ground like a sort of lightening Donna watched as it came towards her. When it touched her all she felt was nothing but pain. She cried out in anger and surprise.
“AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” Donna called out. Falling to her knees.
She was standing a good few feet in front of the rest of the troops but not far enough to give them enough warning. The lightening hit her fellow Amazons and caused them all to cry out in pain. All of them dropping to the ground. Donna turned to see them all fall and had to will herself to do something. The warriors were coming over the boats now and rushing towards them. Most had swords raised but she noticed a fair amount of them carried chains. Looking at her fellow Amazons she could see they were all breathing but not many were stirring. Some sort of knockout magic had hit them. Donna had to admit if it had caused her that much harm then she couldn’t imagine what it had done to the rest of the Amazons. Rising to her feet in time to dodge a warrior rushing her with a sword held high Donna rushed back towards her Amazons.
Out of a force of about a thousand Amazons on the beach. Donna estimated maybe a hundred were still awakre but not many more could actually get to their feet. Maybe fifty or so. Donna was a superheroine with immense power but she had never faced this people in battle before. There were so many unknowns and she did not know how many she would be able to take. Finding an Amazon who was bringing herself to her feet Donna grabbed a hold of her shoulders.
“Tell anyone you can. Pick up as many as your sisters as you can and retreat to the second line. I will buy you time” Donna explained.
The Amazon nodded. Donna nodded back and removed the communication crystal from her belt.
“Di? You hear me?” Donna called out to her sister.
“I do… what happened down there?” Diana called out from the sentry post.
“Some sort of magical knockout arrows. Most of our people are down. I am calling a retreat back to Cassie’s line. I am going to buy us some time. Whatever you do, do not send anyone else in. I don’t know if they can do that again or not” Donna explained.
High above in the sentry point Diana gripped her sword and knew the words she heard from her sister were right and sound but she also knew what her sister was telling her. Donna was going to be captured, unless she could fight off thousands but Diana knew she could not do that, because Diana herself couldn't.
“Understood and be safe Donna” Diana said back.
“I’ll be okay Di, just make sure Cassie doesn’t come in regardless” Donna called back.
“I’ll make sure” Diana answered back.
From her viewpoint she could see that there was a figure in black that could only be Donna emerging from the chaos that was the Amazon line heading towards the warriors that were massing their own line.
Donna looked out over the warriors and smiled a feral smile that seemed to excite the warriors more. Behind her she could hear many Amazons trying to gather their fallen comrades and bring them back to the second line. Donna knew many were going to be taken captive in only a few minutes, along with herself most likely but she couldn’t think of that. She had to buy time for those that could escape to escape.
“Where’s your leader? I want to speak to Chief Ulung” Donna demanded.
There was a lot of grunts and even some chuckles from the line of warriors but not an immediate response. There was some movement behind the line while some of the warriors seemed to be making way. Soon a large warrior stepped forward. Donna had met the leader and knew this was not him but she remembered him being close enough. A second perhaps thought Donna.
“My name is Pulung, Chief Ulung is my younger brother. If you wish to speak to a leader you may speak to me” The imposing physique of the warrior was no less then his brother. Though his hair was longer with a shade of grey in it and a godl ring though a nostial. He was slightly smaller then Ulung as well thought Donna.
“You are the Oldest? Why are you not Chief?” Donna asked. Trying to buy as much time as possible for her Amazon sisters to regroup.
Pulung laughed and the warriors around him laughed as well.
“I was chief until my brother displayed better abilities to lead. I prefer to fight. My brother prefers to fight and lead” Pulung responded.
The warriors around them laughed. Donna saw some of them on the far flanks beginning to make their way around her and towards the still unconscious Amazons. The ones that could move were already gone carrying whoever they could with them. Donna was resigned to losing some of her sisters to captivity but she knew Diana and Cassie would rescue them and her. Still she needed to buy more time for Cassie to stabilize the line and Diana to come up with a new strategy.
“Do you know who I am?” Donna asked the hulking mass that was before her.
“Yes. You are Princess Donna, youngest sister of Princess Diana. Tell me why hasn’t the princess assumed the throne yet” Pulung taunted.
“Our internal politics are none of your business. I wish to tell you and through you, your leader that this does not have to be war. We will help you find a place to yourselves. We are more then prepared to fight for our own freedom and the freedom of others but we much rather prefer the path of peace” Donna stated.
“Eloquent words. We are inelegant people. In this new world we find ourselves in we know two truths. Property and resources are what make a tribe or as you call it now a nation great. We have no desire to mine or build but we do posses a talent for slavery. All of our women were slaves. Now you will become their replacements and your island will become our paradise” Pulung explained.
Donna found the words repugnant and the man before her irredeemable. Her eyes still saw the warriors surrounding her and beginning to make their way into the fallen Amazons. Donna was tired and knew she could nto stop them all. The shock had taken a lot out of her but she reached behind her and took a hold of her sword and tehn her shield.
“I will not allow you to defile my people and my home” Donna warned.
“I would think not. My brother has laid claim to the three that landed on his command vessel but I will take great delight in bringing you to him in chains” Pulung snorted as he laughed. The warriors around him laughed deeply as well from their belly's.
“I am not naive enough to think I may get out of this unscathed but I have completed my job. Now I will take as many with me as I can” Donna aggressively assumed a fighting stance.
The warriors around him seemed to take a step back at the sheer audacity of her claims and Donna couldn’t help but smile at it.
“Look behind you Princess, your comrades are already being chained and taken. You will join them shortly. I would hate to present you to my brother in a terrible condition” Pulung reached behind his back and removed a large heavy axe.
Donna didn’t have to look behind her to know that. From just the corner of her eyes she could see some of her fallen Amazon sisters were being picked over by the warriors who were trying to encircle her. It was all of the warriors who had jumped over with chains. Donna hadn’t been able to get a good look at what exactly they carried but she could guess. She had seen some collars and two pairs of restraints on seperate warrirors so she knew that her friends would be collared, wrists and ankles shackled at the very least. She also knew that was going to be her immediate future if she didn’t find a way to break through. There was an acceptance in her heart though. Some of her sisters had gotten away and by now they would be meeting with Cassie’s portion of the army.
“Well I hate to disaapoint you Pulung but I like a good fight” Donna didn’t waste any more time.
Reasoning that if she took Pulung out quickly the others may back off and give her time and room to escape. Flying towards him as fast as she could she saw the look of surprise on his face before she backhanded him with her sword hand and sent him flying back through his warriors. He landed in a heap but he managed to get up with a laugh and a snort of blood from his nose.
“Impressive. Even after the magic arrows you have that much power. I could never hope to defeat you without their impact. Thankfully you have already sustained heavy damage. This will be fun and a good fight” Pulung got to his feet and charged her.
Not the outcome Donna was hoping for. She knew she was hurt and he was right. He wouldn’t stand a chance against her at full power but she was nowhere near it. With all the warriors looking at her and then him she knew she had them frozen but as he charged Donna knew he had enough speed to keep her trapped. He came at her with his axe held high in a two handed grip. Donna dodged to the right and swept out with her legs. He jumped over her leg and came raingin down with his axe. Donna sidestepped it and watched as the axe embedded deep into the ground. She came forward into his range then and landed two punchs to his stomach and then a kick to his side that sent him crashing down to the ground. Pulung smiled and spit up some blood before he got up and removed a sword from behind his back. Donna took a step back and readied her sword. Aroudn her she felt the stirings of the warriros as they awoke from their hypnotised state at the battle unfolding in front of them. There was nothing Donna wanted more at that moment then those warriors to remain transfixed but she could see it in their eyes and in their posture. They were preparing to attack. She could deal with a great many of them but she knew she would ultimately fall under such an assault.
“Where is your brother anyways” Donna called out again trying to find out where the leader was.
Pulung laughed and pointed upwards towards the sentry post where Diana was. Donna’s eyes grew wide with recognition she tried to reach down and grab her communications crystal but she was stopped by dozens of hands reaching out and pulling her down to the ground. Immensely strong Donna threw many of them off of her and grabbed her crystal.
“Diana….. danger close!!” Donna managed to scream into the crystal before the hands all grabbed her again.
She felt so many of them she really didn’t know if there was a piece of her that wasn’t being touched. She could see Pulung coming closer now. His sword put back behind his back. Her sword had be torn from her hands. There was a sensation of ripping as well as she felt her costume being torn away from her. So many surrounded her though that she could barely see anythign more then little flashes of her black costume fluttering away in the wind. Laying on her back she saw the faces of those who pinned her down. Pulung now standing right over her face.
“You are magnificent. My brother will enjoy having you as a slave. Perhaps I will petition him to take you for myself” Pulung gloated.
He motioned above her to some warriors out of sight but then moved away. Two warriors replaced him in her field of view. Two warriors with chains and collars. Now so close to the chains and restraints she could make out that they were all black chains. The collars open with wide thick steel that was maybe about two inches wide. They looked thick and uncomfortable and when the warrior opened it and came down to wrap it around her neck Donna struggled more fiercly but the wear and tare of the fight had taken her strength. She was held down easily enough while the black collar was wrapped around her throat. With them craning her neck off of the ground they fastened it around her neck. Donna had seen that it required a pin to bind the collar together and now the warrior who had placed the collar around her throat removed a pin from his belt. He reached down and placed the pin through the two hinges that would connect the collar. The second warrior with restraints then removed a hammer from his belt. He seemed to do something to it that caused the hammer to light up a bright red. Donna tried to squirm away again but couldn’t overpower them anymore. The second warrior made sure the pin was to the side of her neck and then began to hammer it down. The clanking of the hammer was so loud in her ears that Donna had to close her eyes from the pain. There was a heat too there and when she opened her eyes to try and look there was a red glow as the hammer seemed to weld the pin into the hinges. Making it a permanent feature around her neck. Donna despaired at that and couldn’t help a single tear escape her eye. The warriros finsihed and tehn her hands were pulelld out to the sides. She felt heavy steel going around them as well and pins being placed through them. The hammer went to work on them as well and tehn on her ankles the same process was repeated. She found now she had a collar, ankle and wrist restraints. With the five items on he she felt a draining of her strength as well. Somethign mouch more then the weariness of battle and exhausttion of defeat.
“What is happening?” Donna cried out to Pulung.
Pulung reentered her field of vision with a large smile.
“These are special restraints we had made just for your three. You are the first to have them placed around you. I am told they will take away your strength and make you just a little more willing to be obedient” Pulung laughed.
“No…. That’s not right…. That’s a fate worse then death for Amazons. Please don’t do this!!” Donna cried out but all she got in return was laughter.
Forced to watch as they took the chains and connected up first her ankles with a short chain that was maybe about two feet. Enough for her to shuffle along at a walking pace but that was all. A similar short chain connected her wrists. A chain was wrapped around her waist and then chains were added from there connecting her wrist chain and her ankle chain. Finally a long six foot chain was connected to the collar and given to Pulung. A rough tug on the chain forced Donna to raise. In the middle of a sea of barbarian warriors Donna was nude, collared and chained. Whatever the restraints were doing to her was making her feel slightly timid and aroused. She couldn’t help but look down when Pulung glared at her. They all laughed at her and she felt so small in their presence. Donna screamed in her mind but she could not find her voice. Pulung tugged on the leash and Donna found herself shuffling behind him as his warriors began to make their way further inland.
Donna could make out fellow Aamzons in the hundreds who were all similarly chained. They were however being led back towards the beach while she was going back inland towards the rest of the Amazon army. Like her though Donna noticed they all had their heads slightly bowed and when they were prodded and told where to go they would resist for only half a moment before they were forced to follow the commands of their leaders. Donna despaired again at the sight. They were some sort of submission collars she thought. With three newer ones being made for her, Diana and Cassie. She could only hope at this moment that Diana had gotten her frantic warning call.
